This easily-accessible location makes Mount Juliet the ideal destination for your next break away. The main house is an architectural gem. Beyond the classical doorways, guests are shown into an impressive entrance hall, featuring elaborate plasterwork on walls and ceilings, paying tribute to eighteenth-century craftsmanship. This feeling of period opulence is present in all the reception rooms. The bars recall a glorious equestrian past, while the relaxed dcor of the drawing rooms provides an opportunity to unwind in total comfort.

Mount Juliet Leisure Centre is located in the Clubhouse area of the estate. The minute you walk through the doors, your body starts to unwind. For relaxation, you can enjoy the sauna and steam room which is scented with Eucalyptus, as well as the 17-metre indoor heated swimming pool with Hydra water jets and a waterfall. The Leisure Centre also houses a fully-equipped gym. Fully-qualified Leisure Centre personnel can help enhance your visits with an individually designed programme for your unique needs. For those who want to keep fit there are a wide range of health and training classes available including aqua aerobics, step aerobics, body conditioning and swimming classes.

Mount Juliet is well known for its estate Activities. While on site, you can partake in a wide range of indoor and outdoor Pursuits. Choose from a round of Golf on the 18 Hole Championship Course, a Trail Ride on the extensive Equestrian Trails to Angling & Fishing on the River Nore. Try your hand at Clay Pigeon Shooting & Archery, relax in the Leisure Centre or unwind at the Spa. Also available are bicycles which you can use to tour the estate but if all that is too much, there are a number of dedicated Walks and Trails throughout the estate which you can take at your own pace.

The beautiful and challenging Mount Juliet golf course has established itself as a premier golfing venue for top professionals as well as leisure golfers worldwide. It was the first Jack Nicklaus designed golf course in Ireland. The Golden Bear was meticulous and pain-staking in his design and in overseeing the construction of his great creation. In preparation for the WGC American Express Golf Championship that was held here in September 2002 and again in 2004, the Jack Nicklaus design team instigated some extensions and new features to the course, showcasing Mount Juliets continued pursuit of golfing excellence.

Accommodation

There are 32 bedrooms in Mount Juliet House and many enjoy captivating views over the river and the paddocks of Ballylinch Stud. Additional accommodation is available at The Club House, which was created from the estates original hunting stables. The 16 Club Rooms are both stylish and relaxed and enjoy direct access to the Spa and Leisure Centre. The 10 Rose Garden Lodges are spacious and contemporary 2 bedroom apartments offering complete privacy. Here guests can enjoy all of the privileges of a luxury hotel combined with the flexibility of a fully self catered lodge.

Food and Drink

Try a simple and satisfying bite to eat in the all day dining option the Presidents Bar, a casual dinner in Kendals restaurant to sample French brasserie classics or a more formal and grand setting at the Lady Helen restaurant to experience Irish cuisine using locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

The Lady Helen Restaurant enjoys panoramic views over the estate and River Nore. Here a variety of international dishes are prepared using local produce and fresh herbs, picked daily from the estates own herb garden. Gourmet dining and superb service are complemented by the opulent ambience of dining in the Lady Helen. Kendals is a French Brasserie, an ideal spot for great food in a casual atmosphere. The dishes served are our interpretation of French brasserie classics. The service is refined yet informal. The Presidents Bar is our all-day dining option that serves soups, snacks and salads and an extensive charcoal grill menu throughout the day. Here you can enjoy an informal and child-friendly service while looking out at views of the golf course.

Golf Tuition and Practice Facilities

Resident golf Professional Sean Cotter runs the golf academy with customised golf tuition programmes and golf clinics. Sean can assist you with improving your short game, long game or putting while also creating customised tuition programmes to suit your requirements. This can include analysis of your game by video or by playing 9 or 18 holes with the professional - a unique way to find, isolate and improve your golf game. Facilities in the golf academy include a driving range with covered bays, multiple grass tees and target greens, bunker and chipping green, practice putting green and standard par-53 putting course with lakes, bunkers and bridges.

Travel options: Driving Directions From Dublin - Take the N7Naas Road Continue onto the M7, signposted Waterford, Carlow & Kilkenny which is Exit 11. Follow the M9 and take Exit 9 signposted KilkennyStoneyford. At the top of the ramp turn left onto the N10 heading for Stoneyford. Drive straight through the village of Stoneyford and at the end of the village there is a fork in the road at the school. Bear left on this road which is sign posted Mount Juliet 4km After 4km, Mount Juliet will be on the left.
