Resort Summary

The golf course at Thorpeness Hotel & Golf Club will ensure an excellent days golf and well appointed rooms and delicious, locally-sourced food and drink will ensure youre fully rested, relaxed and ready for whatever your stay holds. Whether its sightseeing, shopping, a business meeting, family meal or more golf, Thorpeness is the ideal choice for a break or short holiday.

The 3 star Thorpeness Hotel is situated in a peaceful location and just 5 minutes walk from the beach. As soon as you arrive, you cant help but leave the stresses of everyday life behind you. Offering traditional hospitality throughout the year and operating to the highest of standards, facilities include thirty six spacious and comfortable bedrooms many of which have views of the Meare or the golf course.

The 18 hole par 69 golf course has recently been upgraded. The coastal location experiencing some of the best UK weather makes this an excellent all year round course. Over the last three years, on average, the golf course has been closed for only three days per annum.

Thorpeness looks wonderful. In particular, the intriguing new championship tee at twelve is the thinking golfers dream! Set back and to the right of the original line of play, the driver must avoid two trees standing sentinel between the tee and the fairway. Picking the correct angle of attack is vital to avoid a heathery grave. Thorpeness is adorned with a fistful of demanding new bunkers and swales. Naturally decorated with gorse, trees in full vibrant leaf and ablaze with blossom, it is a delightful and challenging place to play golf.

The hotel also attracts walkers, cyclists, and birdwatchers. It's a great venue for a short break.
